WHAT A WEEKEND. Celesta and Eric are basically related to us. (Second cousin's brother in law...close enough right?!) They treated us as guests all weekend...inviting us to attend the rehearsal dinner (which was incredible cuisine), gave us a place setting at the reception, and invited us to dance instead of shoot the whole night. To which we kindly obliged.
This wedding was obviously a dream location (SEE CEREMONY PICTURES)- looking out onto Cape Neddick from an ocean view, New England hotel in York, Maine. They had the place to ourselves all weekend, and have waited over 18 months to have this place as their venue! #worthit. The fog was heavy until about 12:30, 1 PM and lifted perfectly before the first look. It was sunny and warm through the ceremony and reception, giving us great light for golden hour photos and then BAM the fog rolled back in, heavy and thick as the sun was setting. It was still beautiful though even with the thick "sea smoke" in the distance. It was an intimate number of guests, but everyone was floored by the view and spent the majority of cocktail admiring the lighthouse and oceanside patio. No one was complaining!!
Eric and Celesta have been incredibly gracious. We all had to evacuate our Florida homes just the week before hurricane Irma hit, adding chaos to our schedules and confusion about when to fly, and where from. Irma didn't slow down the party though. We had an incredible day and celebrated into the night. (And the bridesmaids took the phrase "Rosé All Day" seriously! As pictured.) Everyone was amazing, it felt like a vacation, not work, and I am just blown away that this is my job. How lucky am I?! Thank you both for having us as friends, family, photographers, and also guests. We can't wait to come hang in Fort Laudy again soon.
Hope you enjoy scrolling. :)
